Mr. Saulo Maate, the People Front for Freedom (PFF) political party coordinator in the Rwenzori sub-region, has described as suicidal and disrespect to life, plans by the recent armed attackers to target security installations in isolated areas in the region.
Mr. Saul’s statements follow the November 1st attacks by catapult and machete armed men who simultaneous targeted security installations in Fort-portal city, the districts of Kasese and Bundibugyo, where more than 40 suspects were killed and about ninety arrested.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio at his party offices last evening, Mr. Saulo who doubles as his party’s chairman for Kasese district, calls for joint efforts by civil society organization, local, cultural, political and religious leaders, to sensitize the community about the need for love, the importance of life and peace if the region was to be free from repeated conflicts.
