It looked empty at first but rather the massive turn up reveled that a big section of the local residents especially in the Kasese District side was thirsty for the return to Kasese district of President Museveni who doubles as NRM Presidential flag bearer.
President Museveni returned and addressed two massively attended public rallies at Kisinga and Ngaiga playgrounds in Kisinga and Maliba town councils in Kasese district.
Specifically at Kisinga playground, the National Vice Chairperson-Western Region, Eng. Jonard Asiimwe, asked President Museveni to quickly respond to the activation of industrial park in Kasese Municipality, look at more investments into tourism and construct a memorial site for the NRM struggle at Kasangali that got birth to the current developmental regime.

At Kisinga playground where thousands of the local community members turned up, President Museveni described tourism as the biggest contributor to Uganda’s economy and that the Road equipment and road fund for Kasese should be doubled looking at the challenging topography and the size of the district.
He also announced plans to permanently settle the Banyabindi Community and compensate members of the Rwenzururu Veterans association among other things. President Museveni speaking1……..
President Museveni later compared the people of Kasese to practical lectures of peace for the rest of the country now that the district has had its share of insecurity that is currently a talk of the past.

Earlier in his report, Hon. James Mbahimba, the Kasese district NRM chairperson, had asked the President to consider major Irrigation schemes on Rivers Nyamugasana and Kanyampara, as well as a mountainous road to boost communication and agriculture. END
