
Mr. Joseph Kule Nzukwa, the Head Teacher of Kasese Secondary School, has called on the municipal education department to update the School Education Management Information System (EMIS) to ensure proper budgeting and allocation of capitation grants.
EMIS was officially rolled out to support policy formulation, planning and resource allocation within the Ministry of Education and Sports.
The Ministry uses EMIS to collect data on learners in schools, which updates the planning and budgeting processes under the Universal Primary Education (UPE) and Universal Secondary Education (USE) programs.
