His Worship Chance Kahindo, the Kasese Municipality Mayor, has described the delay by the district leadership to implement council resolution to hire Rukungiri Public Service Commission to recruit staff as a hindrance to service delivery.
Kasese District Council passed a motion on December 19, 2025, to hire Rukungiri Public Service Commission to urgently recruit staff for Kasese District. However, the resolution has not yielded any positive results.
Speaking to our reporter yesterday at his office, Chance revealed that 32 positions remain vacant in Kasese Municipality, including, Municipal Engineer, Senior Auditor, Principal Commercial Officer, Human Resource Officer, Education Officer, Inspector of Schools, and four Education Assistant Officers, among others.
Kahindo blamed the Kasese District Chairperson, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi, and the Chief Administrative Officer for failing to implement the council’s resolution. His Worship Chance speaking….
In his response, Muhindi said he had allegedly made several appointments with Mayor Chance to hold discussions after many civil servants flocked to his Rukoki-based office, but the mayor did not respond.
