The Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu (OBR) has expressed its heartfelt appreciation to the Managing Director of Link Buses for the generous provision of travel passes that have significantly eased the movement of its officials across the Rwenzori region and Kampala.
His Majesty Omusinga Irema-Ngoma, through his leadership, acknowledges this support as a vital contribution towards the efficient operations of the Cultural Institution. The provision of free travel has enabled OBR representatives to engage in various activities, including cultural promotion, peace-building efforts, and socio-economic initiatives without the burden of transportation costs.
“This partnership has strengthened our ability to reach communities, promote unity, and effectively carry out our mandate. The generosity of Link Buses is a demonstration of corporate social responsibility at its best, and we deeply appreciate this noble gesture,” a statement from the Kingdom’s leadership read.
OBR officials have traversed different parts of the region and the capital with ease, enhancing service delivery and strengthening engagement with key stakeholders. This unwavering support from Link Buses has simplified the administration and implementation of key cultural programs.
The Rwenzururu Cultural Institution calls upon other stakeholders in the transport sector and beyond to emulate the example set by Link Buses by supporting initiatives aimed at fostering development, peace, and cultural preservation.
As the Kingdom continues to pursue its socio-economic and cultural transformation agenda, such collaborations remain a cornerstone in strengthening the identity and aspirations of the Bayiira/Bakonzo people.
