About two hundred local residents were screened of different diseases during a sports tournament in Nyakiyumbu subcounty organized by the Greater Ndongo Association in partnership with Ndongo Medicare and Health Services.
According to Mr. Jackson Kule, the Director of Medicare and Health Services, the sports tournament was basically to identify and promote talents among the youth, as well as looking into the health aspect of the local community members, most of whom do not embrace periodic medical testing, only if they are sick.
He said he was impressed with the outcome of the HIV/AIDS, syphilis, typhoid, malaria and hepatitis B free tests that presented the community as responsible. Mr Jackson speaking…….
