The Sub-county Council of Kitswamba in Kasese District has approved the utilization of trees from Kinyabwamba land for the construction of an administration block and the creation of Kinyabwamba–Kihyo Town Council in the next financial year.
The motion was presented by Hon. Sharon Asiimwe last week during a council session held at the sub-county headquarters.
In his state-of-affairs, the LC III Chairperson, Mr. Yusuf Katenene, reported improved implementation of government projects. He said performance has increased to 79 percent last financial year, up from 68 in the previous financial year.

Among the ongoing projects are the Kayanja–Ngoko solar-powered water project, the BRAC project in Bigando Parish that is empowering vulnerable girls with grants of 700,000 shillings each, and a widow-skilling project that is training 80 children in Kitswamba, among others.
