Katiri health center two in Bulembia Division in Kasese Municipality will be upgraded to a health center four now that Kilembe mines hospital that was serving mainly the greater Kilembe area, was recently leased to Sarrai group, a conglomerate company, Hon. Godfrey Kabyanga, the State Minister for ICT and National Guidance has revealed.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio yesterday shortly after an NRM party meeting preparing for Mr. Museveni, the Party’s presidential campaign tour, Hon. Kabyanga reaffirmed that like he announced before, Kilembe Mines hospital under Kilembe Mines Limited, had been leased to Uganda Mining Company Limited before Sarrai group took over the mines this year.
Following the above development, the elevation of Katiri health to a four status, backed by Rukoki general hospital, would provide the required health services to the people of greater Kilembe now that government has no more mandate on Kilembe Mines Limited that owned the hospital.
