Ms Justine Muhindo,the Assistant Resident District Commissioner in charge of Kasese Municipality, has called for ownership of government funded projects by the local community members for protection and their benefit.
She made the remarks while commissioning the Kabingo Gravity Water Flow Scheme project in Munkunyu sub-county in Kasese district whose contractor, Ms Butini Associates Limited says the project is a reflection of all the funds given by government.
Addressing locals during the project handover to the community in Katanda Two village, in Kitsutsu parish yesterday, Ms Justin also used part of her speech to direct the Munkunyu subcounty leadership to arrest parents and guardians whose children will be found loitering or involved in domestic work at a time they are expected to be in class.
