Market venders in Kasese Main Market in Kasese Municipality have called for urgent interventions by the Municipality leadership over the multi-billion modern market project that is at the verge of collapse if no plans are put in place to tame water leakages.
Some of the market venders including Ms. Jacqueline Bindeba, Mr. Kato Mutooro and Mr. Alex Mukara like many affected market vendors on the southern gate, called for the intervention of expert engineers to deal with the water leakages or else, they would lose the project they thought must have been well inspected before handover by the contractor.

The Kasese Municipal Mayor, His Worship Chance Kahindo who led the inspection team, was quick to say the pools of water in the market caused by the absence of water outlets, could easily break the structure if no urgent plans are put in place. His Worship Chance speaking……
The Kasese Municipal Central Division Chairperson that is housing the main market, Mr. Safari Martin, later described the challenge as an oversight to the contractor and the Municipal engineers, adding that a solution was going to be sought of this week. Mr. Safari speaking……
