Mr. Jerome Kahyana, the Kasese District Senior Inspector of Schools in charge of Sports, has partly blamed the high rate of school dropouts on parental laxity in guiding children.
Speaking to our reporter today in Kasese Town, Mr. Kahyana urged parents and guardians to properly guide and counsel their children, if they are to grow into responsible Ugandans in the future.
He emphasized that enrolling children in nursery school at the age of threehelps them develop a love for education early, unlike registering them directly into Primary One at ten years. Mr. Kahyana speaking 1…
Kahyana also advised young mothers to continue with their education through skilling and vocational studies, noting that this would empower them avoid future regrets. Mr. Kahyana speaking2…
He asked parents to prepare school fees for their children as second term officially open on February 10th 2026. END
