Ms. Agnes Mbambu, the Kasese District Senior Health Educator, has advised parents to take a proactive role in promoting menstrual hygiene among young girls.

While addressing learners from several primary schools in Bulembia Division at Kilembe Secondary School in Kasese Municipality yesterday, during a menstrual health sensitization meeting organized by Serengeti Energy, Ms. Agnes noted that although menstruation is normal, young girls continue facing challenges in accessing information related to menstrual hygiene as well as obtaining appropriate sanitary pads.

Mr. William Bwambale, the Kasese District Community Development Officer, commended Serengeti Energy for organizing the training and called for greater efforts to demystify menstrual hygiene and sanitation.

Ms. Joan Muthabalhi, the Community Liaison Officer of Serengeti Energy, encouraged young girls to manage their menstrual days with confidence and to seek advice from teachers and parents whenever necessary.
