Authorities in southwestern Uganda are investigating two separate incidents of alleged malpractice and misconduct during the ongoing Primary Leaving Examinations.
In Kisoro District, a head teacher and an invigilator were arrested yesterday for alleged examination malpractice at Seseme Primary School in Kisoro Municipality.
The suspects have been identified as Mr. Bernard Katabire, 41, a teacher and invigilator at Real Quality Primary School, and Mr. Samuel Baker Munyantwari, 52, the head teacher of Seseme Primary School. According to reports, the incident occurred during the Mathematics paper when Mr. George Kisakye, a UNEB scout, entered the examination room four, where Katabire was supervising, finding one of the suspects with a photocopied answer sheet containing solutions to questions 31 and 32 of the Mathematics exam.
