Foot bridge made to save school children in Kirembe

The local residents of Redeemer-Muyenga community in Kirembe cell in Kasese Municipality, have constructed a foot bridge across the deadly gully in the area to ease communication mainly for the vulnerable school going children.

Mr. Surgeon Masereka, the community speaker told Kasese Guide Radio yesterday but one on 18th.November.2025 that plans for a foot bridge that connects the popular Naabi church area to Kyababinga, were hatched after failed efforts to secure a concrete bridge from Central Division. Mr. Selevest Mutanywana, a local resident of Kyababinga, had earlier commended the efforts by the community despites discouragements by Mr. Lawrence Bwambale, the local council one chairperson for Kirembe cell. Mr. Mutanywana speaking………

The Vice Chairperson for Kirembe cell, Mr. Aganatiya Luhalha was however disappointed that the challenge had been politicized, revealing that a box bridge had been budgeted for next financial year.
