A total of 232 farmers working with AgriEvolve and Emata Company have today received 36,527,000 shillings from Agro Consortium Insurance as compensation for crop losses following an unproductive harvest in 2025.
Speaking to our reporter shortly after handing over the cheque and processing payments through Mobile Money, the Business Officer of Agro Consortium Insurance, Ms. Racheal Nalwaga, said they were compensating farmers who acquired loans from Emata Company and insured their crops with Agro-Consortium Insurance to boost productivity.

The Communications Officer of Emata Company, Ms. Maren Bjoeroum, said that although the Rwenzori Region is fertile for coffee growing, the area is still prone to disasters that negatively affect productivity.
