His Worship Chance Kahindo-FDC has emerged victorious in the mayoral elections for the Kasese Municipality seat, securing his position for the 2026–2031 term.
According to official results declared by the Kasese District Returning Officer, Godfrey Mbabazi, at the Kasese Multipurpose Hall in Kasese Town yesterday, Chance garnered 14,893 votes, representing 74.08 percent of the total votes cast.
NRM’s Jolly Kateeba scored 4,638 votes, Saidi Kisuki of PFF obtained 235 votes, while Bwenge Jackeline of NUP received 125 votes.
