Over sixty cars were washed as part of the activities to create awareness and expand the resource envelope for this year’s Uganda Martyrs day celebrations that will be animated by the Diocese of Kasese.
Speaking to our reporter in an interview after the activity at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral in Kasese yesterday, Mr. Godfrey Bwambale, the Vice chairperson organizing committee for the mega Eastern Zone Launch scheduled for March 1st, said the money received from sixty cars and 30 motorcycles is a commendable contribution towards realizing more than four billion shillings required for the June 3rd annual celebrations.
Dr. Godfrey appreciated car owners for the ten thousand shillings each paid and the five thousand for motorcycle riders, mainly the boda-boda in Kasese Municipality. Dr. Godfrey speaking ……
He also announced the availability of stickers to those who ride and drive, each at five thousand shillings, before inviting all God’s people in the Eastern Zone; Katwe, Kakone, Kitabu, Kasese, Kidodo, Hima, Ibanda and Kitswamba parishes, to turn up for the mega launch on March 1st 2026.
