Residents in Busia district have asked President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to open two more border points to help fasten movements and boost trade.

They suggested the new borders at Mulwanda that connects to Kenya through Lumino sub-county and Buteba that connects to Kenya through Buteba sub-county.
In the memorandum presented by Isaac Muwanguzi, the Busia district NRM chairperson during Museveni last campaign rally at Buwanda primary school in Masafu town council yesterday residents cited challenges of high traffic jam at Busia one stop border post and the need to boost trade.
Additionally, residents asked Museveni to compensate the families of victims of insurgency due to the wars caused by a group of rebels called Force Obote Back and Lakwena.
Isaac Muwanguzi said that once the above issues are addressed, the ruling NRM party will continue to perform and they expect to hit 90% in the coming election.
In his address, Museveni asked residents to consider the issues of wars in past as history and think about developing themselves using the available resources government has tried to establish in the area. Mr. Museveni speaking….
