The Kasese Diocesan Treasurer, Rev. Fr. Joseph Kule Syathetha, has encouraged Christians to be the light of the world and to emulate the life and mission of the biblical John the Baptist.
In his homily during Holy Mass animated by the Diocesan Employees’ Choir at Our Lady of Assumption Kasese Cathedral Church today, Fr. Syathetha described John the Baptist as the last prophet of the Old Testament and the first in the New Testament, who came to prepare the way for the Savior.
Fr. Syathetha emphasized that although John the Baptist was born before the Messiah, he became a powerful voice proclaiming the coming of Christ to the world.
He urged Christians to follow the example of John the Baptist by standing for the truth, preaching the message of Christ’s coming, and living exemplary lives as a beacon of light to others. Fr. Syathetha speaking…
