In commemoration of its 10 years’ Anniversary, Adventist World Radio-AWR-102.9 Fm based in Kasese town has organized a marathon aimed to solicit funds to support families that lost their children during the Allied Democratic Forces ADF attack on Mpondwe-Lhubiriha secondary school in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council in Kasese district.
On June 16, 2023, a group of suspected ADF rebels crossed from the Democratic Republic of Congo and attacked Mpondwe-Lhubiriha secondary school in Kasese district leaving more than 40 people dead and several others injured.
