A boda-boda rider was knocked down by a speeding vehicle at Kisanyarazi Trading Centre along the Kasese–Fort Portal Highway in Kasese District.
The Rwenzori East Regional Police spokesperson, SP Nelson Tumusime, confirmed the incident and identified the victim as Amos Baluku, a cyclist at Kisanyarazi Stage. He was allegedly hit by a vehicle belonging to Médecins Sans Frontières.

Hon. Ketty Biira, the Karusandara Parish Councilor, and Mbaju Yofesi Kafulo, eyewitnesses to the incident, said Baluku was knocked down today as he attempted to cross the road to pick up a customer on the opposite side without checking for oncoming traffic. Hon. Ketty and Kafulo speaking..
