The Inspector General of Government (IGG), Lady Justice Naluzze Aisha Batala, and the Auditor General, Edward Akol, have held a closed-door meeting to discuss strategies for curbing corruption across government entities, which is estimated to cost the country up to 10 trillion shillings annually.
During the meeting, both leaders emphasized that collaboration between their institutions has improved information sharing, reduced duplication of efforts, and enhanced efficiency in the use of public resources, measures that could save taxpayers significant sums.
Mr. Akol congratulated Justice Naluzze on her appointment and praised the long-standing cordial working relationship between the two offices. End
