Whereas some people perceive general elections and voting as inconsequential, Ms Faibe Biira, a 47 year old woman living with disability, thinks otherwise.
In the company of her relatives during the recently concluded Mayoral polls for Kasese Municipality, Ms Faibe was concerned that whereas the current state leadership had invested enough for the freedoms of the citizens, some Ugandans were misusing the current peace against themselves and the government of Uganda.
Ms Faibe who said she can’t miss elections despite her physical challenges for more than 40 years, freedom doesn’t necessarily mean absence of the law but the level at which citizens are ready to respond to their roles and responsibilities. Ms Faibe speaking1…….
Away from elections, when asked about her interests, Ms Faibe told our reporter that she loves poultry keeping and goat rearing if given a startup capital. Ms Faibe speaking2………
She later called on managers of PDM and other programs targeting women, to consider her as well. END
