Mr. Anicent Bwambale Bora Usubuyi, the FDC flag bearer for Nyakiyumbu subcounty local council three chairperson seat, has pledged to turn Katholhu market into another destination for produce as means to make the mini-irrigation scheme area more relevant to the locals.
He said for the farmers to sell produce in their gardens directly to the outsiders, was a move to fail the development of the market in Katholhu.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio at Kalongoire trading centre in Nyakiyumbu subcounty in Kasese district this morning, Mr. Bora Usubuyi said he had hatched a plan to benefit individual farmers, market vendors and generate revenue to the subcounty if elected the chairman than what he calls overlapping trade systems that undermine the efforts of the local farmers.
He also pledged to lobby government and his foreign development partners for a skilling centre that would target the youth; in and outside school, as means to neutralize the unemployment levels among the young people. Mr. Bora Asubuhi speaking……..
Earlier, Mr. Bora Asubuyi revealed plans to fund projects targeting women and PWDs groups, as means to back up government efforts aimed at improving household incomes. END
