Rev. Fr. Deus Bwambale, CSC, a member of the Congregation of Holy Cross, yesterday celebrated his first priestly thanksgiving Mass at St. Matia Mulhumba Primary School in Ibanda Catholic Parish, Diocese of Kasese, with a call to remain faithful to his vocation.
Fr. Deus was ordained a priest on Sunday, 18th January 2026, inArusha, Tanzania. He becomesthe fourth native priest from Ibanda Parish, following Rev. Fr. Robert of the Capuchin Friary andRev. Fr. Matayoof the Congregation of Holy Cross, who were ordained last year, and Rev. Fr. Anyasio Mbusa, a Diocesan priest, who was ordained inFebruary 2021atSt. John’s Evangelist Minor Seminary.
In his Homily during Mass Led by Fr Deusi Bwambale, Rev. Fr. Selevario Mwanawathuma, urged Christians to pray for and support the newly ordained priest. He encouraged Fr. Deus to live a holy life and to entrust his priestly vocation to the intercession of Mother Mary and the Holy Eucharist.
