A popular local music artist in Kasese District, Hon. Jolly Kahyana of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), has defeated Hon. Adam Bwambale of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) to become the District Councilor representing Central Division in Kasese Municipality.
The Kasese District Election Registrar, Mr. Godfrey Mbabazi, declared, Hon. Kahyana the winner today at Kasese Multipurpose Hall after he secured 3,829 votes against Hon. Adam Bramble’s 2,310 votes. The National Unity Platform (NUP) candidate, Mr. Charles Kule Kabwemi, garnered 328 votes.
In the same exercise, journalist Hon. Phebrine Nyabosi was declared District Woman Councilor representing Bulembia and Central divisions after defeating the incumbent, Hon. Todozio Kabugho of FDC.
