Hon. Jackson Mbaju Kathika, the National Unity Platform Party Coordinator for Rwenzori Sub-Region, has asked all his party members to rally behind Mr. Geoffrey Bigogo, the Forum for Democratic Change’s local council five contestant for Kasese district.
Addressing a press conference at Trans-Africa gardens in Kasese Municipality yesterday, Hon. Mbaju said looking at the manner in which the NRM party leadership reportedly imposed the presidential and parliamentary political leadership on the local people of Kasese, time was ripe for the opposition politicians in district to put aside their differences for purposes of handing political victory to Mr. Bigogo this week.
Putting more light about the Thursday local council five chairman elections, Mr. Mbaju said his decision wasn’t forced by any bias, and to the fact that he still respects other contestants, he respects proposes joint efforts by the opposition to retain the local council five local council five seat.
