At least 20 supporters of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and one supporter of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) in Kigoro One Parish, Rukoki Sub-County, Kasese District, have defected to the National Unity Platform NUP, Kasese Guide Radio can reliably report.
Among the defectors are Ms. Jennifer Mbambu (40), Ms. Syabyabugha Enid (29), Mr. Sibitsomwa Mbaju (34), and Mr. Laurence Mumbere (24).

They said their decision to cross from their former political parties to NUP followed what they termed as injustice, poor governance, and lack of a clear agenda in their previous parties. Ms. Jenifer and Mbaju speaking..

Meanwhile, Mr. Saulo Maate, the chairperson PFF in Kasese district has confirmed the defection of Margret Masika Baguma, the PFF district woman councilor of Ibanda-Kyanya town council to NRM.
Addressing the press at PFF office this afternoon, Maate described her decision to cross to NRM as normal but living PFF with vacant post.
