Hon. Florence Kabugho, Kasese District Woman Member of Parliament, has advised residents ofBusongora County North, especially out-of-school youth, to acquire vocational skills as a practical solution to unemployment.
Speaking at a political rally held yesterday in Bwesumbu Sub-County, Kabugho emphasized that practical and hands-on skills can enable young people to become self-employed and economically independent.
She revealed that her office has established several vocational skilling centres across Kasese District, which are fully equipped to train youth in various skills.
The legislator encouraged community members to take advantage of these centres to create sustainable sources of income.
Hon. Kabugho noted that the initiative is aimed at addressing the growing challenge of youth unemployment while promoting economic empowerment and self-reliance within the district.
