A group of 100 Nigerian schoolchildrenwho were rescued from kidnappers were set to be reunited with their families today after undergoing medical checks in central Niger state, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) said.
The students are among more than 300 pupils and 12 staff seized by gunmenfrom St Mary’s boarding school in the early hours of November 21, in one of the country’s worst mass kidnappings in over a decade.
Dauda Gwanja, a parent, said he got a call to go to the school to receive his 15-year-old son.End
