Mr. Paul Walakira, the Kasese district Chief Administrative Officer, has called for touchable plans and willingness by the locals to protect the environment he said has largely been affected by the ever growing population pressure.

In his speech during the launch of the Greening campaign by Centenary Bank in partnership with Good Forests Foundation-Uganda, held at the Kasese Multipurpose hall in Kasese Municipality on Wednesday, Mr. Walakira who appreciated the partnership, asked the locals to squeeze and maintain trees in their small plots of land for the good of their health and improved incomes. Earlier, Rev. Fr. Modest Masereka Kasenyangwe, the Coordinator for Holy Dove projects in the Diocese of Kasese, called for plans to promote fruit trees he said improve the environment, provide firewood, timber and fruits for good diet. Rev. Fr. Kasenyangwe speaking……
