Rt. Hon. Baritazale Kule Benson, the Rwenzururu Kingdom Prime Minister, has announced that the 59th Coronation Anniversary and Omusinga Birthday Run, held on 14th November 2025, raised over 105 million shillings.

Addressing the press at Verina Gardens in Kasese Town this morning, Rt. Hon. Baritazale commended all Rwenzururu subjects, well-wishers, and the government for their support toward the activities, which also included the launch of the Kingdom’s five-year strategic plan.

He urged the public to continue offering financial support to enable the Kingdom to raise the funds needed to implement the five-year strategic plan, which requires 99.65 billion shillings.
In his report, the Minister of Finance who also doubles as the 1st Deputy Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Patrick Muhesi Baluku Araali, said that of the 105 million shillings raised, over 74 million was spent on expenses, while 30 million was handed over to the treasurer.
The funds were sourced from invitation cards, sales of birthday kits, and contributions from well-wishers, among others.

Rt. Hon. Muhesi added that the strategic plan prioritizes the establishment of a Kingdom radio station, the construction of a cultural heritage Centre, ICT, Agriculture and Health among other key areas. End.
