About forty five percent of learners in primary schools dodge afternoon classes over lack of the required scholastic materials and mainly hunger, Mr. Enos Mutanywana, the head teacher for Masule primary school in Kyanjuki Ward, Bulembia Division in Kasese municipality has revealed.

He was concerned about the hassles by teachers to teach learners who do not only have scholastic materials but hungry as well.
