The People Front for Freedom party’s Coordinator in the Rwenzori Sub-region, Mr. Saulo Maate has condemned the Kazo-Kiruhura district fracas between members of the National Unity Platform and National Residence Movement political parties last week.

After his political rally in Kazo, NUP’s President was asked to abandon his rally in Kiruhura district on Wednesday last week after violent clashes broke out between his team and the locals, most of them NRM supporters.
Addressing the media at the party offices in Kasese town yesterday, Mr. Saulo wondered why Mr. Kyagulanyi, an official presidential candidate, could be forced to abandon a political rally he had spent resources, time and energies on; describing the orders forced changes as an act of he called, political discrimination. TheKiruhura District Chairperson Dan Rutetebya however, accuses supporters of the National Unity Platform of using short-hand hammers and gloves fitted with nails to attack people, mainly those wearing yellow T-shirts, to attract attention and staging scenes for a story for foreign donations. END
