Lt. Joe Walusimbi, the Kasese Resident District Commissioner has confirmed the death of nine suspects of an alleged bigger group that attacked Kasese and Rugendabara Police Barracks.
Lt. Walusimbi told the press in Kasese town this morning that the scandalous acts by suspected rebels on two location in the districts, occurred simultaneously at around 5:20am.

Lt. Walunsimbi, a retired officer of the UPDF, said 30 suspected attackers from the two scene of crime have been arrested, two injured and six police officers nursing wounds at a yet to be disclosed health facility in Kasese Municipality, calling for collaboration between the community and security. Mr. Gerevazio Bwambale Monday, the Kasese district Vice Chairperson asked the Kasese people to remain calm and open up about any suspicions as investigations into the suspected rebels continue.

Yet to be confirmed reports indicate that similar attempts this morning took place in Kitswamba in Kabarole and in Kakuka in Bundibugyo districts by suspected attackers, most of whom were found with machetes, catapult [Engovu], stones and African egg plants [Esyandakalha}.
