Police in Rwenzori East region reveal that all is being done for a peaceful Kyakere Carnival festivities in Kasese municipality tomorrow, calling on members of the public to be vigilant as well.
SP. Nelson Tumusiime, the Rwenzori East Region Police Spokesperson, said patrols had already been intensified to back the CCTV systems and operations by plain clothed operatives for the safety of the revelers and the entire community.
He also called for security vigilance and timely reports to police by the invitees at the festival in case of any unusual occurrences at Rwenzori Square tomorrow. SP Nelson speakingβ¦β¦
SP Nelson later asked road users, mainly motorists to be mindful of road signs to save lives.
Meanwhile, a 28 year-old Man has collapsed and died on spot this evening at a Pork Joint in Libwelyachona trading centre, in Kitholhu sub-county, Kasese district.
No official comment yet from Police, but the local council two chairperson, Mr.Abel Sirikani, has identified the deceased as Firicano Masereka, a resident in the same area. Mr. Abel speakingβ¦.
