The Uganda-DR Congo market at Mpondwe border post in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council in Kasese district has re-opened after a two years lock down over COVID-`19.
Hon. Boaz Kafuda, a former legislator and a Director at the Nyabugando cattle holding ground in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council said that whereas COVID-19 had forced the closure of the cattle market on the Ugandan side, insecurity in the Democratic Republic of Congo could not spare their business either.
He was confident that re opening the market on the Ugandans side will improve local revenue but also save Ugandans from the insecurity risks being fixed by the UPDF in the DR Congo. Hon Kafuda speaking….
