The Chairman of the Lay Apostolate Commission of the Uganda Episcopal Conference, His Grace Paul Ssemogerere has urged the youth to be hopeful, prayerful and focused amidst the many challenges they face, including moral temptations.
In his homily while presiding over Holy Mass on day two of the National Youth Conference hosted by Hoima Diocese yesterday, the Most Rev. Ssemogere who is also the Archbishop of Kampala, urged the youth to open their lives for Christ by living firmly despite the worldly challenges including, discrimination, corruption, poverty and unemployment. While opening the conference, the State Minster for gender, labor, and social development in charge of the youth, Hon. Balaam Barugahare Atenyi, commended the Catholic Church for her affirmative actions in engaging the youth, thus, asking the young people to form groups and make use of different government programs aimed at improving their living conditions.
