By Peter Masereka,
The young people have been argued against being overtaken by the current advanced technology in the world, forgetting about their culture and the teaching of the Holy Scriptures.
Fr. Augustine Byaruhanga who is the coordinator of the Pontifical Missions in the Diocese of Kasese was concerned that the young people were using social media to mobilize friends for Bride-dowry and introduction ceremonies that are purely the role of their families.

In his homily while presiding over second Holy Mass at St. John Kisanga Roman Catholic Church yesterday, Fr. Byaruhanga who urged leaders to live exemplary and not for earthly pleasures, reminded the young people that bride wealth collected by a particular family cements the bond between that family and the bride because the later belongs to the family culturally.
He asked the young people to turn social media into a platform for behavioral change and not avenues to show up and attack other people in error. Fr. Byaruhanga speaking……
Fr. Byaruhanga who later asked parents to fulfil their roles, argued young girls against cheap popularities like the Pharisees who wanted to be praised for minor things than working to satisfy the needs of their community.
He also encouraged God’s servants to walk their vows and distance from acts that will scatter the flock of God. END
