The youths in Bwanika One Village Kamuruli Parish in Nyakatonzi sub-county Kasese district have called for expedited investigations by Police about what they perceive as illegal sale of their playground to a private investor.
The seemingly disappointed youths who converged at the playground this morning before proceeding to the sub-county headquarters reportedly attacked the investor only identified as Rogers ordering him to live their premises, Mr. Ivan Malimoto, the area local council two chairperson for Kamuruli Parish told our reporter at the scene.
It’s alleged that the playground gazzatted to the youths was sold by, Mr. Sezi Ndahura, the Chairperson Muhumuza Cattle keeper’s cooperative association together with Mr. Matia Kisembo, chairperson local council one for Bwanika village without consent of the youths.
Mr.Ivan, who strongly biased the criteria used by the two leaders to sell public land, urged locals to remain calm reaffirming that as youth leaders they have engaged various stakeholders over the matter for a lasting solution. Mr. Ivan speaking…..
