The life of a twenty five year old woman, Ms Dorothy Mbambu, lies in the hands of Good Samaritans and institutions that are ready to contribute to her required ten million shillings specialized surgical operation bill, Kasese Guide Radio can reliably report.
Ms Dorothy, a daughter of Mzee Wilson Police Tabisasa from Kakyindo village in Kitholhu subcounty in Kasese district but currently residing near KK Guest house in Kikonzo cell in Kasese Municipality, has lived with an eye complication for ten years but it is worsening and keeps threatening her life. Tears rolling in her eyes, Ms Dorothy who is in full care of her one year old baby, revealed that they had sold part of her family land and she worked as a house maid for her medication at Ruharo eye center in Mbarara that referred her to Mulago national referral health facility where ten Million shillings is required for her specialized surgery.

Dr. Robert Mumbere Muthahunga from Afya Medical and Diagnostic centre in Kasese Municipality, said Ms Dorothy’s condition needs financial backup and should be treated as an emergency as well now that it requires an orthopedist, ophthalmologist, and neurosurgeon at once, to deal with her condition.
