Woman whose hands were cut off by her husband has been discharged

It was all excitement by family members and local residents of Kyandali in Maliba subcounty in Kasese district following the discharge from Mbarara Regional Referral hospital Ms Esther Mbambu-Nya Azida, a victim of a Machete attack in Kyakasojo lower cell in Kasese Municipality.

Ms Esther, a reknown market vendor, was last month attacked and his limps cut by her husband, one Mr. Hussein Kisughumu Kadogo who is currently serving a forty’s sentence, over domestic related issues.

Mr. Alex Byakaghema, an elder brother to Ms Esther, confirmed the development, adding that their home was filled by sympathizers who thanked God, appreciated the medics at Mt. St. Mary’s and Mbarara referral hospitals, as well as Kasese Guide for work well done in saving his sister. Mr. Byakaghema speaking…….

Mr. Byakalema who said more financial support was still required for the survivor, called for more assistance to his sister he said has no much to do with her amputated hands. END
