    By Kyamanduma Patrick,

The body of a 50-year-old man who was reportedly attacked and killed by a suspected elephant has been officially handed back to the relatives for burial after Uganda Wild Authority agreed to the terms set by the bereaved family.

There were verbal exchange reports between security and the family and community members on the other side after UWA reportedly delayed to honor her pledge to support in the burial arrangements.

The situation forced the family of the deceased to abandon the body with police that later handed it over to Kasese Municipal health center three.

Mr. Reuben Byamukama, a brother to the late Joram Mugisha told this radio at the mortuary that the grave was being prepared by press time after UWA paid two million shillings as other compensation considerations are being looked into soon mainly to deal with the education and general welfare of the only child the deceased survived with. Mr. Byamukama speaking…….

The Kasese Municipal health Centre in charge, Mr. James Mwiruwabo said they were keeping the body until the two parties agreed over the compensation terms. Mr. Mwiruwabwo speaking………

May the soul of the deceased rest in peace. END.
