A love dispute has been cited in the shooting to death of a woman in Nsangi by a private security guard.
Gift Ainembabazi was gunned down on Thursday by Josephat Niwampeire a private security guard employed by Security Plus (u) Limited.
Detectives have established that Niwampeire and his brother Felix Ayebazibwe also serving in Security Plus (u) Limited were dating the same woman.
It is alleged the brothers first had a misunderstanding which prompted Niwampeire to waylay Ainembabazi who had dropped the children at school.
Niwampeire confronted Ainembabazi and put her at gunpoint to reveal the truth surrounding their love life and also to explain why she had caused a fight between him and his brother.
It was at that moment that Niwampeire pulled the trigger and shot Ainembabazi three times in the chest.
Senior Superintendent of Police Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson said Ainembabazi and Niwampire was rushed to Mulago hospital but the former was later pronounced dead.

Onyango said Niwampeire is now being guarded by police officers in Mulago Hospital so that he can face charges of murder once he recovers. END.
