    Woman rescued by police from angry mob over Child abuse.

    Meanwhile, Police in Kasese town last evening rescued a woman from an angry mob in Katadoba cell central division in Kasese Municipality over allegation of Child abuse.

    Rwenzori East region police spokesperson, ASP Nelson Tumusiime confirmed the information and identified the suspect as Yeye, a wife to Mr.Oneka Thobia both residents of Katadoba cell.

    The Community development officer Central Division in Kasese Municipality, Ms Margret Biira who regretted the incident said the suspect assaulted two minors and reportedly closed them into the house.Ms Margret on child abuse….

    The Chairperson LC Two Nyakabingo two ward in central Division, Mr. Isaac Kalyabyuma said the embattled couple shifted recently to Katadoba cell and is not registered with his office.

    By press time the suspect and two minors were whisked to police for further interrogation.

    However, a 13 year old girl who is taking care of her three month old baby in Kalhumanga village Kitswamba sub-county in Kasese district is looking for help after being abandoned by her husband.

    Yesterday, the district senior probation officer, Ms. Asiimwe Zainabu reported increased cases of teenage pregnancy in Kasese district, which she partly attributed to persistent lockdown. END.
