A young woman in her early thirties was last evening admitted in critical condition after being forced to drink an alleged herb reportedly prepared by a suspected witchdoctor to identify a phone thief.
Mr. James Mwiruwabo, the In-charge for Kasese Municipal health Centre three confirmed the information later last evening but said the victim, Ms Ruth who was unconscious at the time she was brought at the facility, was steadily responding to medication.

Ms Jovia Masika, a survivor said while at a bar in Nyakasanga, they lost a phone and the owner went for the suspected witch doctor who forced them to drink the herbs he mixed to identify the suspected thief.
She said shortly after taking the herb, Ms Ruth, their friend began complaining of stomach pains, forcing their boss to call for the intervention of police. Ms Jovia speaking………
ASP Nelson Tumushime, the Rwenzori East Regional Police Spokesperson confirmed that the suspected herbalist and the owner of the cellphone, were in police custody to help the forces in the ongoing investigations. END.
