Mr. Stephen Kyomya, the local council one chairperson for Ibuga village in Kitswamba subcounty in Kasese district, calls for a deliberate sensitization plan aimed at neutralizing what he describes as the workshops of lies he blames for the repeated armed attacks in Kasese district and the region.
He also called for more sensitization of the parents about the importance of education and hard work among the young people, some of whom are easily diverted over poverty and high levels of illiteracy.
In an interview with our reporter at his offices yesterday, Mr. Stephenattributesthe recent attacks that claimed more than 50 people and left 90 suspects arrested, tolow levels of education and falsehoods promoted by selfish individuals in the region. Mr. Stephen speaking…….
He called for the interventions of the interreligious council of Uganda to sensitize the youth against falsehoods and witchcraft that the perpetuators of the repeated attacks front as a weapon against bullet shots and their safety. Mr. Stephen speaking2………
Mr. Stephen had earlier asked parents and members of the community to jointly intervene into the deteriorating morals among the young people, some who can hardly adhere to guidance. END
