A four year project on the expansion of Green colleges has been launched in the Rwenzori Region with support from Welt HungerHilfe in Germany.
Representing the District boss, Hon.Muzamiru Bisanga the district councilor representing Lake-Katwe Sub-County said much as the project its promoting environment, it also has a component of Village Savings and Credit for the youth where trainers will be facilitated on VSLA methodologies.
He implored partners to include other sectors in the net-work to share opportunities including women and youth groups while making a memorandum of understanding with Kasese District Local Government.

He asked the implementers Margharita training Institute in Kasese town, to sensitize the community about Green colleges project.
The director Margherita Training Institute Mr. Nason Kisole said, his Institute was selected because it was training environmentally related courses including tourism and fruit growing among others.
