The Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba assured the people of Greater Masaka of his commitment to work with them in developing Uganda.
Gen. Kainerugaba while speaking last evening at the Greater Masaka Baraza organized by Patriotic League of Uganda and held at the Masaka Liberation Square in Masaka City used the Baraza to explain the mission and vision of PLU, saying that it “is a civic organization that seeks to mobilize Ugandans to fulfill their civic duties.
Gen. Kainerugaba assured Greater Masaka that Patriotic League of Uganda is non-partisan, non-denominational, and non-sectarian.
The army chief, who is also a senior presidential advisor on Special Operations, noted that Patriotic League of Uganda encourages all Ugandans to fight corruption and abuse of office because” these vices hinder development.
He said this is one of the greatest ills facing Uganda today.
In his speech, the General also revealed that the government is set to acquire 10 million doses of vaccines to immunize the animals against foot and mouth disease so that the quarantine can be lifted. END.
