Mr. Stephen Bagonza, the Kasese District Assistant Health Officer, has urged community members to embrace climate change mitigation measures.
Speaking during a one-day stakeholders’ meeting Organized by Mbarara University of Science and technology held yesterday at Rwenzori International Hotel in Kasese Town, Mr. Bagonza described climate change as a global challenge calling for enhanced environmental conservation mechanisms.
He noted that floods and landslides have repeatedly affected infrastructure, displaced communities, and caused loss of lives and properties.
